CONCEPTUAL APPROACHES TO THE STUDY OF GEOGRAPHY AT HIGH SCHOOL

Abstract.
 The article deals with the basic conceptual approaches to the study of geography at high
school. The authors define the goals and objectives of geographic education at the senior stage of the
school and consider the system of ideas and conceptual approaches to their implementation. On the
example of the concept „world economy”, the main approaches to the formation of the fundamental
content of the geography course at high school are considered. The article dwells on the differences in
the content of courses, approaches and methods of their implementation at the basic and profile level.

ORGANIZATION OF META-SUBJECT ACTIVITIES OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN LEARNING GEOMETRY

Abstract.
 The article examines one of the important provisions of the Federal state standards of primary
general education, basic general education and secondary general education. These are the requirements
for the results of the development of these programs. Along with personal and subject, they
include relatively new for the national school meta-subject results. One of the aspects of the indicated
problem is considered, namely, the organization of the corresponding activity of the students. Of particular
importance in the article is the role and place of the meta-subject activity of high school students
in the organization of their general educational activities. Concepts related to the meta-subject activity
of students, such as meta-subject, meta-content, meta-lesson, meta-them, etc., are introduced. Criteria
are singled out for organizing the meta-subject activity of high school students. The above theoretical
positions are illustrated by geometric examples.

USING THE CONCEPTS OF IDEOGRAPHIC GRAMMAR WHILE PREPARING FOR LINGUISTIC DISCUSSION ESSAY IN THE NINTH GRADE

Abstract. 
The article deals with methods of teaching Russian grammar at secondary school for native-
speakers. Analyzing tasks of the state examination in the 9th grade the author concludes that some
of them mostly responsible for measuring the level of mastery of linguistic competence do not correlate
meaningfully with the material presented in the school course of the Russian language. The article
describes the most effective ways of solving that methodical problem which is resort to terms of ideographic
grammar in teaching at school. The author notes that addressing the semantics of linguistic
units at different levels will not only help improve the quality of exam work, but also have a positive
impact on the formation of the communicative competence of students. In this regard, the article proposes
to correct the course of studying linguistics at school by referring to the basics of ideographic
grammar and the development of communicative elements incorporated in modern teaching aids.

LINGUA-DIDACTIC BASES OF BILINGUAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS DIAGNOSTICS

Abstract.
 The article is devoted to the description of the concept of diagnostic measurements for children
– bilinguals and foreign students studying Russian outside Russia. The article describes the
terminological difference of the concepts „bilingual”, „ino-phone”, „hereditary carrier” and defines
the main parameters for diagnosing communicative skills of all categories of students.
The article defines the notion of an „onto-linguistic approach”, which the author regards as the main
one for the education of children who define two languages as natives. Diagnostics of bilinguals is described
from the point of view of the formation of communicative and cognitive skills in junior schoolchildren
and is based on the transfer of the formed skills from one language to another. This article
presents theoretical foundations and describes the practice of creating bilingual diagnostic measurements,
which are recommended to hereditary native speakers and children-foreigners. The use of such
measurements will improve the quality of teaching bilinguals to both languages.

THE RUSSIAN FOLKLORE IN PROCESS OF SCHOOL LEARNING: COMPARATIVE-HISTORICAL ASPECT

Abstract.
 The article presents a description of the main stages of learning Russian folklore at school:
reading the fragments in the study course of the history of Russian literature in pre-revolutionary gymnasium;
reading and analysis of selected works of Russian folklore (folk tales, songs, epics, proverbs,
sayings, riddles) in the Soviet school. It also notes the relevant aspects of studying the works of Russian
folklore in modern schools: the designation of their special place in the history of Russian culture
and literature; establishment of links between folklore and Russian classical and modern literature,
reference to the folklore texts, images and motifs in fiction, various fields of communication.

EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE AS AN IMPORTANT FACTOR OF COMMUNICATIVE INTERACTION BETWEEN A TEACHER AND STUDENTS

Abstract.
 The authors have considered the phenomenon of emotional intelligence as a factor of academic
development of students in terms of the main characteristics of communicative interaction.
Emotional intelligence is comprehensively presented as a combination of the following components:
emotional awareness, emotional management, emotional self-motivation, empathy, and recognition of
the emotions of others in the process of communicative interaction. The authors have shown the functions
of a teacher’s pedagogical culture and his technology used to form emotional intelligence as an
integral dynamic construct which creates the basis for optimistic awareness, understanding, and control
of one’s own emotions and the emotions of others. The results of the work are of interest for teachers
and psychologists who deal with the problems of the formation of personal qualities in the students,
including the emotional intelligence.

PECULIAR PROPERTIES OF CONDUCTING LESSONS OF FINE ARTS WITH PRESCHOOLERS ON THE BASIS OF A DIFFERENTIATED APPROACH TO THE PERSONAL QUALITIES OF TRAINING

Abstract.
 The article deals with the main problems of working with children of five-seven years in
the art studio. The analysis of the expressed psychological models of behavior of children at drawing
lessons in a kindergarten is carried out. Two main types of behavior of preschool children at drawing
classes are distinguished with the analysis of the connection of behavioral reactions with the results of
visual activity. The behavior of children engaged in creativity is analyzed, some elements of the game
and game lessons are described when working with paints and graphic materials. The article sums up
the experience of teachers in a contemporary art studio of an inclusive type. Examples of complex psychological
situations during the sessions and the analysis of the teacher’s work in these conditions are
given. The authors analyze possible ways of working with the group while improving the effectiveness
of personality-oriented learning.

ACADEMIC MOTIVATION AS A FUNDAMENTAL CONDITION FOR QUALITY TEACHING (ON THE EXAMPLE OF COMMUNICATIVE PEDAGOGY OF GERMANY)

Abstract. 
Successful educational activity is a source of professional satisfaction of a teacher, high
motivation of pupils. Central is the mutual exchange between the partners of the interaction, which
is possible only through self-active participation of pupils and personal importance of the educational
material. The teacher is not only an intermediary of information, but also a mediator, he establishes
situations in which students independently deal with new phenomena. Learning is always an active,
self-managing, individual process: students differ from each other in degrees of diligence (hard work),
educational strategies and types of learning activity. The quality of teaching determines whether the
teacher was able to rely on internal incentives and, thus, provide his own support, to open the possibility
for pupils to take a fresh look at the learning process, having comprehended the value and significance
of the knowledge gained. The motivation of the student depends on two interrelated factors: the
educational situation and the motivational orientations. Students who have good cognitive and metacognitive
learning strategies have motivational prerequisites that lead to success.

Abstract.
 The article defines the concept of readiness of future bachelors of pedagogical education for
the use of computer tools in professional activities, identifies a number of personal characteristics of
future bachelors of pedagogical education that provide readiness for the use of computer tools in professional
activities, consider the organizational and pedagogical conditions for preparing readiness for
the use of computer facilities in professional activity. Based on the research conducted in the framework
of the preparation of future bachelors of pedagogical education, the authors offer an example of a
comprehensive realization of the organizational and pedagogical conditions for forming the readiness
of future bachelors of pedagogical education to use computer tools in professional activities.

SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL LITERATURE READING TEACHING WITH THE PURPOSE OF INTRODUCING AND MEMORIZING TERMINOLOGICAL LEXIS

Abstract. 
The article deals with scientific research experience in scientific and technical literature
reading training. Sample texts of scientific and technical content and lexical-semantic tasks to them
are presented. Explanations are given for the correct (solid words) pronunciation of a group of words
(syntagmas), features of Russian accent, etc., tasks for reproducing the scientific definition of the term,
creating a monolog statement based on text, etc. The task system includes logical and semantic work
on lexical and grammatical means of the text (within the language of the specialty), contributing to
the development of the skill of the semantic and structural analysis of the text, as well as the ability to
reproduce the source text.

The article deals with theoretical and practical issues of organizing educational setting in
painting and its importance for students of art-graphic faculties. The final result of the studying process

skills necessary for further professional artistic and creative activity. The article defines the main principles

MODEL OF CORRECTIVE AND DEVELOPING WORK ON THE FORMATION OF COMMUNICATIVE AND SPEECH COMPETENCE OF PRESCHOOL CHILDREN WITH HEARING IMPAIRMENT IN CONDITIONS OF GAME
ACTIVITY

Abstract.
 The article considers a model of corrective and developing work that creates conditions for
effective formation of communicative and speech competencies in children with hearing impairment in
older preschool age through story-role play using a modular approach. The necessity of organizing corrective
and developing work is substantiated, taking into account the general, specific and individual
characteristics and needs of children with hearing impairments. The peculiarities of the organization
of the story-role game of children with hearing impairment of the senior preschool age are disclosed for
the purposes of communicative and speech development. The article concludes that it is necessary to
strengthen the motivation of children’s speech activity, which becomes possible due to its communicative
orientation, as well as the selection and special working out of speech material, most responsive both to
the level of speech development of children with hearing impairment and their interests.

RESEARCH WORK OF SCHOOL CHILDREN BASED ON NUMERICAL MODELLING

Abstract.
 Nowadays much attention is payed to school research works. They can be done using numerical
modeling. Unfortunately, it is usually thought that the numerical methods are very difficult
for the pupils and they are almost not represented in the secondary school. According to their experience
the authors of the article can say that one of the most simple numerical methods – Euler scheme –
is quite understandable. The article represents possible methods of studying numerical modeling at
school. They can be used in project and research works at school. Two examples of such works that
were carried under the authors’ guidance are presented. The first one is connected with the nonlinear
law of motion, the second one with the falling of the cosmic bodies in Earth atmosphere. These works
were awarded by diplomas on different conferences and contests.

DEVELOPMENT OF A CHILD AS A PERSONALITY BY MEANS OF ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION

Abstract.
 The article deals with the issues of ecological education of the younger generation in conditions
of accelerated urbanization processes. The main problem of a child’s behavior in a big city and
outdoors is indicated. The experience of the organization of extracurricular activities in ecology in specially
protected natural areas of Moscow is given. It shows the benefits for children in their interaction
with natural objects. The analysis of the modular program on ecology, on the basis of which materials
for teaching children the nature, including a system of questions of assessing the level of awareness
and motivation of schoolchildren in the subjects of urban ecology, are offered. The need to develop environmental
programs for the further development of environmental education and education in Moscow’s
specially protected natural areas has been defined, thanks to which it will be possible not only
to impart certain knowledge to the children in the field of ecology, but also to develop an ecologically
competent personality in each child.

DISCUSSION CLUB AS A MEANS OF FORMING COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE AMONG FOREIGN STUDENTS

Abstract.
 The article deals with such extracurricular event as a discussion club of the Russian language
for foreign students, which is one of the most effective ways of forming communicative competence
among students. Different formats for holding a discussion club which creates conditions for
organizing communication on problem topics are described. It is noted what determines the thematic
content of meetings and discussions. It is shown how discussion platforms contribute to the formation
of communicative competence of students who know the Russian language at a basic level, and also
increase the interest and motivation of foreign students to study the Russian language. The article
presents a scenario of a meeting-discussion devoted to free time and study, with methodological explanations.
During the meeting of the discussion club on the given topic, it is proposed to use the method
of free associations, work in small groups, get acquainted with the Russian proverb and so on.

INCREASING THE MOVING POTENTIAL – THE WAY OF DEVELOPING THE COGNITIVE ABILITY OF CHILDREN WITH CEREBRAL PALSY

Abstract.
 The article makes an attempt to justify the improvement of moving ability of children with
cerebral palsy by increasing at their skills which are performed on the land and in water. Improvement
of quality, intensity, stability and durations of attention has been recorded. Results of pedagogical observations
of moving coordination abilities have shown improvement of moving readiness of children
during the pedagogical experiment. These improvements have enhanced the concentration of children’s
attention, leading to a marked development of thinking abilities.

REPRESENTATION OF THE IMAGE OF THE INSTITUTE OF PHYSICAL CULTURE, SPORTS AND HEALTH IN SOCIAL NETWORKS

Abstract. 
In the era of informatization and penetration of information and communication technologies
in all spheres of human life, students, applicants and other interested persons are increasingly
looking for information about universities in cyberspace. In this regard, it becomes important
how students themselves report on their university and faculty (institution) in social net works. After all, their feedback directly affects the image and reputation of the university.
The aim of the study was to assess the image of the Institute of Physical Culture, Sport and Health
of the Moscow Pedagogical State University in social networks and develop recommendations for
its improvement.
To achieve this goal, the collection and subsequent content analysis of feedback given by university
students on social networks in VKontakte and Instagram was organized. Content analysis of
the responses of users of these social networks showed that the number of positive characteristics is
2.25 times higher than the number of negative ones, and the total number of positive epithets (taking
into account the frequency of their appearance in the reviews about the Institute) is 2.96 times
higher than the number of negative epithets. This indicates that the Institute of Physical Culture,
Sport and Health of the Moscow Pedagogical State University in the perception of student users of
social networks has a positive rather than a negative image.
In the general array of reviews about Institute of Physical Culture, Sport and Health of the Moscow
Pedagogical State University three groups of characteristics have been singled out:
1) Positive ones, which are available to the Institute and create a positive image for it. They need to
be strengthened and demonstrated to the target audience;
2) Negative characteristics that are available to the Institute but worsen or destroy its image. They require
special investigation and, if confirmed, immediately take action on the part of the leadership of Institute
of Physical Culture, Sport and Health;
3) Latent characteristics that are available (may be available) to the Institute of Physical Culture,
Sport and Health and are needed to improve its image, but were not mentioned by students who are
users of social networks. They should be actively broadcast to the target audience.

THE CASE STUDY METHOD AS MODERN TECHNOLOGY OF TEACHING IN THE COURSE OF HUMANITARIAN SUBJECTS OF THE SCHOOL CURRICULUM

Abstract. 
The article reflects a new view on the technology of case study method. The author, based
on theoretical calculations and personal pedagogical experience of teaching history and social studies
in high school, demonstrates the feasibility and effectiveness of its use. The author believes that within
the formation of the contemporary creative personality of a student in a multicultural educational
space, this technology can be successfully used in the system of professional development not only for
teachers of history and social studies, but also for teachers of the subjects of the linguistic and socio humanitarian cycle. In addition, practical experience allows to approve that individual elements and
techniques of the method is advisable to use at the senior level of secondary school. And due to the fact
that the case study method is based on learning by solving specific problems in the format of problemsituational
analysis, this technique is harmonious, without violating the existing system of problemoriented
and personality-oriented principles. The method considered in the article makes it possible to
increase the effectiveness of the perception of the material by schoolchildren and is one of the innovative
methods of teaching. The method makes it possible to make the process of learning a material interesting
and productive. In addition, this technique answers the question: how to prepare a teacher for
using real economic, social and everyday situations in the classroom? All this is discussed in the proposed
article. In addition the article reveals several small secrets of working with case assignments
approved by the author in the course of teaching the students of 8-11 grades of secondary school.

PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF SCHOOLCHILDREN FOR WORK IN THE CITY OF FUTURE

Abstract. 
The article is devoted to the problems of vocational guidance of schoolchildren. It reflects
the requirements for graduates of general education institutions in the conditions of the challenge
of the modern labor market. Profile training is considered not only as an effective tool for preparing
schoolchildren for life and work, but as an important component of the system of continuous vocational
education. For the purpose of vocational guidance work with high school students, the educational and
methodological development of the training lesson „Smart City – City of the Future” has been prepared,
the task of which is to get acquainted with the projects of construction of future cities and professions,
which in this connection will be in demand. This development can be used in extracurricular activities,
as well as in the system of additional education for children.

PREREQUISITES OF AXIOLOGICAL AND SEMANTIC UNDERSTANDING OF WORKS OF ART BY SENIOR PRESCHOOLERS

Abstract. 
The article denotes the vector of public inquiry in the area of preschool children education
according to the state strategy as a formation of artistic taste and evaluation criteria in the perception
of works of art. The levels of artistic perception and the characteristic features of the perception of art
by senior preschoolers are described. The structure of the axiological and semantic understanding of
art, the importance of selecting the works of art themes for the formation of prerequisites thereof, as
well as the content of the process of creating the prerequisites for the axiological and semantic understanding
of art are demonstrated. A conclusion is made that the most sensitive period in mastering the
spiritual experience of mankind appears to be the preschool age, when a child masters spiritual values
at the accessible for him/her level through the leading activity; and the formation of prerequisites for
the axiological and semantic understanding of a senior preschool child is ensured by integrating the
values of art into the content of educational programs, as well as by developing the interest in works
of art.

DESIGNING OF TEACHING MATERIALS FOR FINE ARTS USING THE CONTENT OF THE REGIONAL CULTURE

Abstract. 
The article deals with the aspect of designing didactic materials on fine arts using the
content of regional culture. Some forms and types of didactic materials on fine arts are analyzed. The
role and place of regional content of nature and culture of native land in the process of studying fine
arts is determined. Typical mistakes and methodical stereotypes of the teacher of fine arts in the organization
of artistic and creative activity of children in the study of the artistic culture of the native
land are revealed. The article presents the analysis of the initial level of readiness of undergraduate
students of pedagogical education (profile „Fine arts”) to design didactic materials using the content of
regional culture. The structure and the list of obligatory elements of the methodical product providing
its didactic value are presented.

PRINCIPLES OF INNOVATIVE TEACHING THE THEMATIC COMPOSITION TO JUNIOR SCHOOLCHILDREN IN THE SYSTEM OF ADDITIONAL EDUCATION

Abstract.
 The article is devoted to the principles of innovative teaching the children of primary school
age to the thematic composition at the art classes in the system of additional education. This is an integrated,
project-activity and personality-oriented approach to learning from the standpoint of the natural
laws of life on earth, from a position of live communication with the surrounding world, from the standpoint
of realistic art and aesthetic worldview. The new synergetic principle of learning - the principle of
„the key”, allows to transform and optimize the learning process through the activation of methods and
forms of learning. An important aspect of innovations in training is the organizational aspect, which allows
the teacher to diagnose, coordinate and guide the educational process. The result of the approach is
the qualitative transformation of the learning process into a qualitative transformation of the personality.
Additional education acts as an effective integration environment, providing optimal conditions for
training, education and personal development. The article is for students of pedagogical universities,
teacher-artists and readers interested in questions of creative development of children.

Abstract. 
The article considers the issues of organizing the craft and needlework in the parish schools
of Moscow diocese at the turn of XIX–XX centuries. The role Cyril and Methodius brotherhood in the
development of primary education in the territory of Moscow province is traced. The spread of crafting
and needlework in schools located in places of folk crafts, in particular Gzhel Handicrafts national
trade in the territory of Bronnitsy and the Counties of Bogoroditsky of Moscow province is noted.

Abstract. 
The article deals with the problems of the importance of introducing the principles of scientific
research activity at the lessons of foreign languages. The article also contains several samples of
organizing research work dedicated to students of secondary schools specializing in foreign languages.
These samples are based on the use of the principles of integrating the majority of school subjects.
The author underlines the idea that research work serves not only as a means of self-development but
also as one of the ways to help students chose the most suitable occupation. Тhe article focuses on the
development of methods of research activity at the German language lessons and as a type of extra-curricular
activity. Research activity is estimated as a universal way of investigating the rules of modern
society which leads to the growing interest in the learning process. The author of the article underlines
the importance of research activity for teenagers who are making the first progress in various sciences,
such activity turns teenagers into real discoverers and prevents from being inactive. Furthermore, the
author emphasizes the importance of this educational technology for further study in higher education
institutions and future professional activities.

OLD GREEK SCHOOL AND MUSIC: TEACHING AMATEURS AND PROFESSIONALS

Abstract.
 With the development of ancient Greek culture, music was also perfected, becoming an
integral part of school education, feasts, theatrical performances, sports competitions and religious
sacrifices. The history of ancient music in both mythological and philosophical texts is associated with
the history of learning to play the musical instruments. The description of the features of the structure
of musical instruments and the way how to play on them the ancient authors often combined with a
description of the educational effect that could be achieved. It was often associated with the type which
the musical instrument belonged to: whether it was strange, percussive or wind. Particularly distinguished
were musical instruments, which were taught at school or after it clearly defining the training
of amateurs and the training of professionals.

DIAGNOSIS OF THE PSYCHO-EMOTIONAL STATE OF A PRESCHOOL CHILD BY THE METHOD OF ANALYZING HIS PORTRAIT DRAWING

Abstract. 
The article deals with the issues of diagnosing the psycho-emotional state of a preschool
age child by the method of analysis of drawing a portrait. The article presents the possibilities of diagnosing
not only the artistic abilities of a preschool child, the degree of mastering his visual skills,
competent knowledge of technical means, but also determining the psychological state of a child, possible
personal problems, emotional background in order to further provide the child with the necessary
assistance. The article expands the approach of the teacher to the visual activity of a preschool age
child, allowing to solve several important tasks, one of which is to preserve the psychological health of
a preschooler.

THE DEVELOPMENT OF MULTICULTURAL SKILLS IN THE VERBAL BEHAVIOR OF A FUTURE TEACHER
(on the material of diagnostic work with Turkmen students)

Abstract. 
The article presents the experience of Mordovian State Pedagogical Institute in working with
students within the program „Russian Language and the Culture of Speech” on the basis of the use of
theoretical methods (study and analysis of psychological, pedagogical, scientific, educational literature)
and pedagogical measurements (observation, conversation, interviewing students). Value-semantic reference
points have been defined, particularly in working with foreign students, where the teacher should be
aware of the possible psychological and pedagogical barriers that arise as a result of the characteristics
of the person’s mental belonging. The possibilities of optimizing the multicultural dialogue, which actualize
the development of the ability of the trainees in accordance with their real needs and interests, to
perform oral-speech and written communication in various situations that contribute to the process of
scientific and educational interaction in the multicultural educational space are considered.
